ALL FAITHS VACCINE CAMPAIGN

The Medical Society of Eastern Pennsylvania has been asked to be one of the primary partners for the All Faiths Vaccination Campaign, a collaboration with Black Clergy Philadelphia, the Mayor's office, and many partners across the city.

The MSEP is supporting the All-Faiths Vaccination Campaign’s #HopeandHealingPhilly initiative to achieve vaccination equity and access for Black and Brown residents in Philadelphia and surrounding communities.

As you are aware the COVID-19 pandemic has caused many deaths and severe illnesses in the Black and Brown communities. Skilled Scientist and trusted health professionals have worked together to safely produce and bring to market very safe and effective vaccines that have been thoroughly tested, approved, and monitored by the CDC and Food and Drug Administration.

These vaccines are safe and have minimal side effects. Most important they are effective in preventing serious illness or death from the COVID-19. I have been vaccinated along with people I love and respect without any difficulty.

As a leader who deeply cares about my family and those I serve, live near, and work around. I did what I believe was the right thing to do. Now, I am asking you to help provide hope and healing for our city by getting vaccinated. Your family, friends and neighbors are counting on you too.

There will be lots of opportunities and convenient places where you can get vaccinated in Philadelphia during the Memorial Day and Juneteenth Weekends. Please join the #HopeandHealingPhilly

Check out the All Faiths Vaccination Campaign website.  We are asking all MSEP members and supporters to sign up to volunteer as trusted messengers and community navigators, as we have worked with congregations across the city to set up vaccination partners by our local pharmacies, medical centers, and City of Philadelphia mobile units to provide vaccination at worship sites for our faith communities across Philadelphia.

This campaign kicks off Memorial Day weekend, and continues through Juneteeth weekend.  MSEP members are asked to volunteer to attend the vaccination events as trusted health professionals to answer questions about the importance of vaccination, and publicize and encourage the congregations, vaccinators, and neighbors who attend the vaccine clinics.
