ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The journey to medical school begins long before the first day of class—and for many aspiring physicians, obtaining a competitive MCAT score is one of the most significant barriers to gaining admission to medical school.

Recognizing that access to high-quality MCAT preparation can be financially out of reach for many talented students, the Medical Society of Eastern Pennsylvania (MSEP) launched the MCAT Prep Bootcamp in 2023.

The program provides six months of comprehensive academic preparation, physician mentorship, and professional development designed to help promising students strengthen their MCAT performance and confidently pursue medical school.

Whether you're the first in your family to pursue medicine or navigating the application process with limited resources, MSEP is committed to helping remove barriers so you can focus on achieving your goals.

2026 Application Deadline: September 8, 2026, at 11:59 PM EDT

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and qualified applicants may be invited to participate in a virtual interview as part of the selection process. We encourage interested students to apply early for the best opportunity to be considered.

Program Begins: October 2026

PROGRAM IMPACT

Since launching in 2023, the MSEP MCAT Prep Bootcamp has become one of the organization's signature physician pipeline initiatives.

Since 2023:

  • 104 students have participated across three program cohorts.
  • Graduates of the MSEP MCAT Prep Bootcamp have been admitted to top medical schools across the country.
  • Thousands of dollars have been invested in removing financial barriers to medical school preparation.
  • Scholars have gained access to mentorship, academic resources, and professional guidance that might otherwise be unavailable.

Each student supported through the program represents more than an individual success story—they represent future physicians who will care for patients, strengthen communities, and help address healthcare disparities for generations to come.

Collectively, MSEP's MCAT Prep scholars could go on to serve millions of patients throughout their medical careers.
